Emma & James’ Beautiful February Wedding at Wildes Inn | Derbyshire Wedding Photographer

February 2026 was a day to remember as I had the absolute honour of capturing Emma & James’ wedding at the beautiful Wildes Inn. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of excitement for the day ahead.

As a Derbyshire wedding photographer, these are the kinds of weddings I love most... genuine moments, lovely people, and a day that flows naturally with so much joy

A Relaxed Wedding Morning Full of Love

The morning preparations were everything you’d hope for on a wedding day... calm, happy, and full of anticipation. Everyone was already in wedding mode, with such a lovely energy throughout the venue.

One of the highlights for me was sharing a proper cuppa with the groom’s mum and grandma while chatting all things love… and of course, fur babies 🐾. Those little moments are what make wedding mornings so special. They allow everyone to breathe, enjoy the excitement, and create memories before the ceremony even begins.

For couples planning their own wedding, this is your reminder that the quiet moments in the morning are just as meaningful as the big moments later in the day.

Wildes Inn's Wedding Venue Review

Wildes Inns was a dream venue to photograph. Elegant spaces, a welcoming atmosphere, and fantastic opportunities for both indoor and outdoor photography made it the perfect setting for this special day.

Despite being incredibly busy, every single member of staff was warm, professional, and attentive throughout. Great venues are about more than just appearance... they’re about the experience they create for couples and guests, and Wildes Inn delivered that perfectly.

For anyone considering a Wildes Inn wedding, it’s a wonderful choice for a relaxed yet stylish celebration.

A Huge Thank You to the Wedding Coordinator

A huge shout out has to go to Charlotte, the wedding coordinator, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She kept the whole day running smoothly, calmly, and seamlessly.

Behind every well run wedding is a brilliant team, and Charlotte played such a huge part in making sure Emma & James could simply enjoy every second of their day.

Perfect February Weather for Wedding Photos

February weddings in the UK can be unpredictable, but the weather truly showed up for Emma & James. It held beautifully for all the important photos... from family group shots to romantic couple portraits.

Natural light always adds something magical to wedding photography, and having dry weather for portraits meant we could make the most of the lovely grounds and capture timeless images for the couple to treasure.

If you’re searching for a winter wedding photographer in Derbyshire, don’t underestimate a February wedding. With the right venue and a little luck, they can be absolutely stunning.

A Family Feel From Start to Finish

What made this wedding extra special wasn’t just the beautiful venue or perfect weather — it was the people.

The family made me feel like family.

The couple made me feel like family.

That kind of warmth changes everything. It never once felt like work, and as a photographer, that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. Being welcomed into such an important day and trusted to capture those memories is never something I take lightly.

Thank You Emma & James

Emma & James, thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day. It was an absolute joy to be part of your celebration and to capture the love, laughter, and memories that made it so special.

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together 🤍
