Emma and John

I'm so proud to say I completed my first wedding!! Woo!! My first wedding was with the lovely Emma and John, who I will be forever grateful for trusting me to capture their special day. Emma and John are social butterflies especially when karaoke is in the mix.
Emma and her bridesmaids got ready at Johns sisters house, which I may say was a gorgeous natural light heavenly home. John got ready in his home which was only 5 minutes away from Emma.
The couple have been together 17 years, engaged many of those years and finally decided to get married because of their bundle of joy, 1 year old baby Eva. They decided to have a budget friendly wedding close to home which brought them to their ceremony venue Arnot Hill House
About the venue
Arnot Hill House is a striking Grade II listed property overlooking Arnot Hill Park. The characterful ceremony room is decorated in neutral and classic colours. It benefits from a lovely period fireplace and glistening chandelier. The room offers panoramic views of the fountain and lake. This venue can hold up to 80 people.
I was so lucky having this venue for my first wedding because its a local area (no worries about getting lost phew!) and the venue/ surrounding area has beautiful photo locations. Two minute walk from the venue is a duck lake, rose garden and plenty of green fields. One thing I will mention, Arnot Hill is a very popular registry office, which means you walk in the front and walk out the back exit towards the carpark. If you don't have the last slot of the day (roughly 5.30pm) you're most likely having your confetti shot in the carpark. The photos will still look amazing, you just wont have the nice entrance archway in the background :-)
Reception took place at the couples first date location: The Punch Bowl. The function room was transformed into a lovely wedding breakfast area, Round tables all decorated beautifully at one area next to the bar, DJ, Dance floor and any extras 'LOVE' letters / photobooth on the other side.
The couple had speeches, cake cutting and the first dance one after the other to allow them to relax and mingle for the rest of the evening. The first dance was beautiful, watching them connect and enjoy those few minutes together, singing along to their first dance song: Damien rice- the blowers daughter.
