Some dogs leave a lasting impression the moment you meet them, and Chester and Frankie did exactly that.

Their photoshoot at Brierley Forest Park was filled with wagging tails, happy moments, plenty of treats, and two very different personalities that complemented each other perfectly. Sessions like this are exactly why I love being a Nottingham and Derby dog photographer. Every dog has their own unique story, and capturing those stories is something I'll never tire of.


At 15 years young, Chester, a handsome Cojack (Corgi x Jack Russell), completely stole my heart.

Rescued when he was just two and a half years old, Chester has spent the last twelve years surrounded by love, and it shines through in everything he does. From his gentle walk to his beautiful smile, every photograph reflected his calm, kind nature.

Senior dog photography holds a special place in my heart. These sessions are about slowing down, letting dogs enjoy the experience at their own pace, and creating timeless memories that families will treasure forever.

Watching Chester happily explore Brierley Forest Park was a wonderful reminder that age is just a number. His curiosity, gentle spirit, and happy expression made every photograph feel incredibly special.


Frankie – Small Dog, Big Personality

Then there was Frankie.

This adorable three year old Dachshund cross arrived with one mission... to find every treat I had in my pocket.

Before the session, I was told Frankie could sometimes be reactive around other dogs, so we planned everything carefully to ensure he felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the shoot.

The result?

With a steady supply of tasty treats and lots of positive encouragement, Frankie was calm, engaged, and honestly an absolute superstar. I have a feeling the treats had something to do with it!

His cheeky expressions, curious personality, and affectionate nature made photographing him an absolute pleasure.
