Some dogs come alive when the temperature drops. If yours is a husky, malamute, samoyed or any big fluffy breed that would happily spend all day in the frost, this session is for them.

Why Winter Tails?

Winter is when cold-loving dogs look their best: thick coats, bright eyes and plenty of energy. This is your chance to capture them in their natural habitat, with frosty woodland and open parkland as the backdrop.

I'm Tammy from Lens Masters Collective Photography, and I've photographed over 100 dogs. I know how to keep a session relaxed, playful and focused on your dog's personality.

  • A 30-minute outdoor photo session at Elvaston Castle
  • A private viewing appointment where you choose your favourite
  • 3 beautiful 8x10 prints of your chosen images
  • The option to buy extra prints or other products at your viewing appointment

How it works

Book your spot.

Choose your time slot using the booking link and pay in full to secure it. There are only 5 spots, and they're first come, first served.

Get your confirmation.

I'll email you with your location details and a few tips to help your dog look their best.

Come to your session.

Join me at Elvaston Castle on Saturday 23rd January 2027 for 30 minutes of winter fun.

Choose your favourites.

 Within 2 weeks of your shoot, we'll meet on Zoom so you can view your gallery, pick your 3 favourite images and add any extra prints.

Receive your prints.

Your prints will arrive 2 to 4 weeks after your viewing, depending on the products you choose.


Session day details

  • Date: Saturday 23rd January 2027
  • Location: Elvaston Castle Country Park, Derbyshire
  • Session length: 30 minutes
  • Time slots: between 11:00am and 3:15pm. You'll choose yours when you book.
  • Best for: huskies and large fluffy breeds that love the cold


Weather, changes and your dog's wellbeing

Weather: Cold-loving dogs are made for frost and drizzle, so the shoot goes ahead in light rain or cold. If conditions are unsafe (storms, ice, heavy snow or the park closing), I'll email everyone by 6pm the day before and move the shoot to Saturday 20th February 2027.

Changes and cancellations: Bookings are non-refundable. If you can't make your slot, we'll reschedule you to the backup date, or find another date that works for you, subject to availability.

If your dog is unwell: You can rebook at no extra charge.
