How does a photo session like this work?

Every session is planned around the personalities in it, two legged and four.

Step 1.

GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER

Before we book anything, we need to understand who's coming. Your dog's temperament, your family's energy, what you actually enjoy doing together. That shapes everything; the location, the timing, the pace of the day. It starts with a short questionnaire, then a quick call.

Step 2.

THE SESSION

We work slowly and without pressure.

For dogs, that means I read their body language throughout. If they need a sniff break, a wander, or five minutes to settle, we take it.

For families, it means nobody is forced into a pose they hate. I guide just enough so you feel confident, and back off just enough so the real moments can happen.

Step 3.

ARTWORK CONSULTATION

Once your images are ready, we'll go through them together. I'll help you choose what works for your walls, your home and your budget. There's no pressure and no rush. Most people are surprised by how straightforward it feels.

'It was such a pleasure to have this photoshoot with Tammy! She was so professional and absolutely amazing with our dog, which made the whole experience even more special. We are so happy with everything and will definitely be booking another session with her in the summer. Thank you so much, Tammy – you have been a superstar!xx'

FAQ

Where in Nottingham and Derby can our photoshoot be?

I service ALL of the East midlands

My favourite spots are at clients stunning local parks and cities.

Wollaton Park, Elvaston Castle, Shipley Park are few of my favorites.

If we have an anxious dog or newly rescued and needs no one around. I would suggest a secure field (pretty one) to allow the dogs to be stress free.

Do your sessions come with additional travel fees?

Between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, I will come to you without travel fees.

Beyond that, I am happy to travel with a higher reservation fee (but you’ll get that back as a print credit).

We don’t have a location picked yet - can you help us?

Of course!

During your planning call I’ll get to know more about you in order to decide the direction of the shoot, including the location.

We’ll start with your lifestyle and interests, and then look at your home decor to ensure the backdrop of your images will suit your walls as well.

If you have kids or dogs joining the session, we’ll choose somewhere they can relax and safely explore.

Just you or you and a partner? We’ll pick somewhere that suits you perfectly.

I don’t know what to wear...

That’s totally normal, and don’t worry, I’ll help you out starting with a Pinterest board for Inspiration and then we’ll narrow it down during our call!

What about hair and makeup?

This photoshoot is a great opportunity to be pampered so we highly recommend professional make up and can help organise that for you!

Extra hint: book a date night for afterwards to make the most of feeling FINE!

p.s you are also gorgeous just as you are <3 if you fancy a pamper, go for it, if you don't thats ok too x

Pricing seems highly variable - how much can I expect to spend?

You’ll confirm your date with the non-refundable reservation fee. Part of that is print credit.

That's enough to cover a beautiful gift print, but you'll likely go bigger, or add an album.

Our clients spend anywhere from £695 to £5,000 depending on finishes, sizes, and number of pieces.

Most people spend somewhere closer to £1500- but we’ll discuss all this in detail on your call prior to booking.

No matter what you choose to spend, you’ll certainly come away with an end result that's perfect for you.

Not too much, not too little, just the perfect collection to relive these moments forever.

What if we need to reschedule, or cancel?

Your reservation fee secures your date and is forfeited in the event of cancellations.

If you need to reschedule due to something out of your control (e.g weather) we can typically accommodate one/two reschedules especially if weather isn't playing ball!

We highly recommend taking this into consideration when booking your travel if you’re not local.

Do you offer only digital files?

Wall art is my specialty, and other print products like albums and keepsake boxes are available as well.

We also gift you a free web-resolution digital version of each purchased wall art or album for sharing on social media.

If high-resolution digital copies are important to you, you can purchase master copies of your favourites for £200 each. These are perfect for printing as big as you like, as often as you like!

What if my partner isn’t as into photos as I am?

I’d love to chat with them before you schedule. That way, I can address their concerns and reassure them that this will be FUN, not awkward.

The whole idea of the session is to add to a day together, not distract from it.

My dog is anxious / reactive / easily overwhelmed — can you still work with them?

Yes, and this is genuinely where the extra care matters. I won't rush your dog, and I won't push past what they're comfortable with. We plan the session around their temperament from the start; location, time of day, how we approach them. So by the time the camera comes out, they've usually settled right in.
